The Authentics have been added to the Glastonbudget line-up, which takes place over the weekend of 23rd, 24th & 25th May at Wymeswold in Leicestershire and is Europe's Largest Tribute & New Music Festival with FREE camping & FREE Parking. In just over a week the songs have been listened to 400+ times on their myspace page and the band have promoted the CD hard through magazines, fanzines and radio so keep an ear out for them over the coming months.
Launch NightThe CD and Video Launch Night in Leicester was a great success and a packed crowd at the Polar Bear watched the new video by local director Tom Hancock. Live ShowsThe band are on an Easter break to write and rest after the CD launch but will be performing new material at local venues in Leicester on Wednesday live music nights at Fubar as well as an opening acoustic slot at the city’s Firebug venue on the 1st May 2008.

The Authentics November News...

TheAuthentics writes "HalloweenA massive massive thanks to all the friends, fans and people that showed up at the band’s final show of the year at DeMontfort University on Halloween Night.
It was a spectacular goodbye to Dave and the “Dave” masks went down a storm, as did everyone else who came down in fancy dress. CD & Video NewsThe new 5 track CD has a launch date pencilled in for January 2008 and The Authentics are in discussions to launch the CD and new video on the same night in Leicester City Centre. Glitzine and The-Mag ReviewsOnline rock and glam fanzine GLITZINE have reviewed the band’s show at Junktion 7 from October and say “Firing on all cylinders, you can tell they love what they do and this really came across to the audience, and with killer tunes like 'U Wanna Be Me' it wouldn't surprise me if you see a lot more of them”.

HANOI ROCKS - on tour 2008

Since cancelling their tour with LA Guns earlier this year, Hanoi Rocks have announced that they will be making out to the UK next year on a European Tour...
"Year 2008 starts with long European tour, which takes
Hanoi Rocks from Sweden via Germany to United Kingdom. The last gig of
the tour will be in London’s notorious Astoria Club 7th of March.
Michael Monroe is excited about the forthcoming months on the road: ”It
feels really good to go to Europe with a brilliant Street Poetry album.
The band is in great shape and the live chemistry works like a dream,
so we’ll be happy to show what we got to the rest of the world!'"

CRASHDIET deny spilt rumours

Peter London has denied rumours that new vocalist H. Olliver Twisted had handed in his notice earlier this week. A statement posted by London on the Crashdiet forum states....
"No-one has left the band.
The tour is on.
The album will be released in time.

PEPSI TATE of TIGERTAILZ dies

The following statement has been made on the Tigertailz website about the untimely death of Pepsi Tate...
"We are absolutely
devastated to bring you the news that our beloved friend and Tigertailz
Bass player PEPSI TATE lost his battle with pancreatic cancer
today. Pepsi passed away peacefully at 10:30 this morning,
Tuesday 18th September 2007, in Holme Towers cancer hospice in Penarth
Cardiff. Pepsi's wife Shan and close family were with him.

cannot describe how we feel right now. We're in bits and will
miss him so much.

TOWERS OF LONDON - spilt with The Rev and Snell

Watchers of the TV show won't be surprised to hear that Towers Of London have parted ways with The Rev (guiatr) and Snell (drums).
"Towers of London have parted ways with their lead guitarist The Rev and drummer Snell. The split is entirely amicable, Donny, Dirk and Tommy will continue as Towers of London whilst The Rev and Snell have decided their ambitions lie in a different place to the rest of the band's. The Towers of London tour which commences 16th July in Newcastle will go ahead as planned. The Towers have temporarily drafted in their friend on Lead Guitar and Mark Heaney on Drums. The band will also continuing writing and working on their second album."
